Like Krishnamurti, how have you followed your own Sacred Heart to the peaceful resolution of a challenge you’ve faced, lately?

OR

If the key to change is already in your hands, what will you do with it?

Why does sex play such an important part in life? (15:58)

Key to the Sacredness of Heart & Love Satsang (9:36)

English Analysis

Recovery texts often emphasize humility and openness. The Basic Text highlights the barrier of a closed mind. It suggests open-mindedness unlocks the possibility of change and freedom from addiction. Krishnamurti, in his writings, also stresses inner responsibility. In Freedom from the Known, he insists the key rests within oneself.

Transitioning from inner barriers to spiritual inclusion, As Bill Sees It affirms a broad vision. It presents the “realm of spirit” as accessible to all sincere seekers. William James, in The Varieties of Religious Experience, similarly argued that personal openness shapes transformative encounters. He viewed spiritual life as a universal possibility rather than a restricted path.

Krishnamurti deepens this dialogue by pointing inward. He emphasizes that external teachers cannot grant the essential key. Instead, individuals must awaken their own awareness. This aligns with James’s call for direct experience over rigid doctrine. Both thinkers reject dependence on outside authority as the sole gateway.

Together, these insights converge on a liberating truth. Real change requires humility, openness, and personal responsibility. Spiritual life, whether in recovery or philosophy, invites honest self-discovery. These voices urge us to see that transformation grows from within. They remind us that while support helps, the ultimate key lies in our hands.

Pasando de barreras internas a inclusión espiritual, As Bill Sees It ofrece una visión amplia. Presenta el “reino del espíritu” como accesible a todo buscador sincero. William James, en The Varieties of Religious Experience, sostuvo una idea parecida.

I will use this key to strengthen moi(me) even more against temptation, so I can meditate on castin’ out those people and substances that only seem to want to keep me (moi) down in life. I will form consistency on keepin’ things around me (moi) that are like a key, to remove negative thoughts, hopelessness, and despair.

Inner responsibility and open-mindedness work together to allow change. I need to acknowledge that I may be wrong and genuinely listen to outside ideas. This applies to all areas- that is, the possibility of being wrong- despite how strongly I believe myself. There is always room to change. Actively acknowledging where fault is found, even if I don’t feel strong enough to say it to another person, is the first step

Even if the key of change is in our hands we can still fumble the lock. It’s important to develop the habit of unlocking the doors to our success in whatever little ways we can.

The key of change is maybe more like a skeleton key that lets us through the many little doors of change, and one day before we realize it we are out of the labyrinth.

The key to change is in progress. The initial transformation has been made. Now it’s time to reinforce the new Behavior by continuing to put God first then the steps and applying them in my daily life

I believe that my HP has not only given me the keys, everything I need is abundant. Yet it is my ego that I must tame in each moment to select the key given to be the change that I desire. It is getting past my earthly self and into the divinity given freely to each of us that allows me to transcend my ego and into heaven on earth.

Thank you for sharing recovery with me. Grateful.

I now am able to readily recognize when I’m operating entirely with my ego or when I’m operating with less of my self-will and more compassion. I just need to work on being more readily able to move myself to that space when I’m not there.

This is very reassuring that I answers are in me if I am willing and open enough to receive them. I’m going to pray for greater willingness right now.

In Al-Anon, I have learned that seeking validation and acceptance from others can never substitute for my own validation and acceptance of myself. I was looking to others to give me what I lack for myself. I also have learned that it was impossible for me to love, validate and accept myself until I knew my Higher Power loved, validated and accepted me. Steps One, Two, Three – again and again prepare me to totally surrender, entirely accept that my Higher Power loves and validates me. I am not alone.

He’s got the whole world in his hands.. Remember that song? And he gives it to you / me that’s what I think do you? To learn an instrument or to write a song or a book. The key to unlock whatever God given talent lies within us whether or not I choose to go forth and unlock that door is up to me. Let’s start choosing to open… Our hearts doors minds etc etc give love receive love help ever hurt never.
