🌟 Zonr Post Analysis: The Great Healer 🌟

The Zonr post offers a powerful message on deep healing. It rightly calls humility the Great Healer. Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions notes that pain acts as the price of admission. This suffering then forges new strength from weakness. We should fear pain much less now. Instead, we must desire humility more than ever.

It Works, How & Why highlights humility’s ideal state. It plants its feet firmly on the spiritual path. Humility successfully counters the trap of false pride. Francis Quarles stated that pride loves only itself. This self-love blocks connection to a Higher Power. Humility succeeds where reason and strength often fail.

Dr. Viktor Frankl understood this powerful principle (Frankl, 1984). He taught finding deep meaning in all suffering. The Wellbriety Movement encourages this spiritual surrender. It teaches walking the Red Road with a humble heart. This humility allows profound healing from within. We accept our imperfections completely. This is the path to spiritual restoration.

(12 y 12, p. 75)

Humility is more peaceful than it’s antagonist. I don’t have to balance the scales of self-aggrandizement and minimization. I can just be.

Being a humble healer has helped me on different levels. First the realization that the real meaning is not what we’ve been taught, shrinking ourselves to get along and go along. True humility encompasses knowing your own value while acknowledging the value in others. It’s realizing everything has value whether it be in light or in shadow. And acknowledging everything has a place within the process.

The past is forgiveness, and yes I certainly have made mistakes, I think to deny that is dangerous. As a sponsor once said, “What is my part in this”. Believing that I am without blame or in some way didn’t contribute to a situation, to me that is hubris and false pride. Own it, make amends, learn from it and move forward lighter in spirit, cleaner in the forgiveness of a higher power of each person’s understanding.

Thank you for sharing recovery with me. Grateful.

Timing is an essential part of Step 9…I need to make amends when the opportunity presents itself. I had to make immediate amends last night to someone because of some major miscommunication. Even though it was not my fault I felt I still had to make a quick amends and that is a direct result of working these steps… alot of faith and courage goes into making an amend, and a lot of spiritual growth results…

I think my past mistakes are all mistakes i can shift to blaming others for not thinking I don’t know what’s going on with me(moi), or knowing me. The medical industry is who we go to when in pain, or ill as one of our last resorts, but when they treat us racistly or turn their backs on us that’s difficult, because then where, or how do we medicate goes through our minds. This distrust can turn us back to how we know best to medicate. What keeps me from using is meditation 12 + arnica, and staying away from danger zones lately despite dealing with bad doctors, and people who still don’t fully get the program.

I struggle with humility because I am so deeply mired in humiliation. But a speaker at an Al-Anon meeting stated simply that she was beautiful – she said, “this is not bragging, this is simply a gift my Higher Power gave me.” So, maybe I can acknowledge that my Higher Power gave me a gift with words – not as a vanity or false pride issue, but reflecting back to my Higher Power that I recognize and express gratitude for the gifts and talents I have been given. Thank you, Higher Power, for my many gifts and lessons. Namaste.

Yesterday, I apologized to a colleague, in front of others, for having made a mistake. The day before, when driving home I promised my self I would take care of that so I wouldn’t keep it on my mind. And after the apology, despite much razing, I felt much better.
