“[Siddartha] reflected deeply, until this feeling completely overwhelmed him and … he recognized causes; for to recognize causes … is to think, and through thought, alone feelings become knowledge and are not lost, but become real and begin to mature.”

– Hermann Hesse (1877 – 1962) German Buddhist Philosopher

Zonr Post Analysis: The Alchemical Journey of Awareness

The Zonr post captures the dynamic nature of spiritual awakening. The Basic Text reminds us that awakening never truly ends. We must open our minds to new physical experiences. This openness leads to a sharper awareness of our purpose. How Al-Anon Works emphasizes the need for constant effort. Growth is a choice between moving forward or sliding back. We must vigilantly watch for false pride in our daily walk.

Hermann Hesse explores this depth in his masterpiece Siddhartha. Siddhartha transforms feelings into real knowledge through deep thought. This process matures the soul. World-renowned psychiatrist Carl Jung echoed this sentiment. He believed awareness makes the unconscious conscious (Jung, 1933). Otherwise, the unconscious directs our lives like fate. Wellbriety principles also stress this daily vigilance. “To stay in balance, we must check our hearts daily” (White Bison, 2002, p. 88). This constant inventory connects us to a Great Power.

Debemos abrir nuestras mentes a nuevas experiencias físicas.

Usually when I stop sit down and meditate and listen that’s the best way to check my feelings and whichever feeling comes up I’m either grateful for it or I need to work on it depending on the feeling but when I put God first it’s a pretty much fail safe solution…

Mindfulness as a constant practice allows me to slow down and observe myself in a way that stops the impulsive response based sole in feelings. This gentle pause of self awareness is available to me in recovery when I am not just reacting to everything, rather in stillness, proactively becoming who I am meant to be.

Thank you for sharing recovery with me. Grateful.

FEATURED POST FROM THE ZONR VAULT – At the end of 2019, I began my self love journey by reprogramming my subconscious mind. In order to change our thoughts from self destructive to self love, we have to start doing so on the outside. This includes daily exercise, weight training, and eating healthy and nutritious meals. Additionally, I have been keeping a gratitude journal, which I write in every morning and night before bed. The combination of meditation, positive affirmations, and practicing gratitude have begun to change my perception of self in such a positive way! I have gained a sense of confidence that is so authentic. My quest for invalidation, which I was previously engaged in, had only put my sense of worth in outside sources. (Orig. post 1/9/2020)

I was helping my elderly mother look for a car. She felt overwhelmed by the digital displays, push-button ignition, video rear view screens, and rotary shift controller. Instead of repeating my usual refrain of forgoing the new car and use telephone-assisted uber, I suggested she get professional driving instruction which she seemed open to. I allowed my thoughts to mature and try and see things from her perspective with the knowledge of my past mistakes.

I need to keep swimming and pushing myself. When I get overwhelmed I rest. I need not to burn myself at both ends. I need to train myself to heal

This is a struggle for me as this year begin. But one lesson of my own spiritual awakening is to maintain my faith. So as I continue to meditate each day I push myself to complete at least one thing toward my goals. And then remind myself to stay out of the results.
