Let Your Love Flow – The Bellamy Boys (3:02)

Shakespearean England in Stillness Meditation (10:12)

Analysis: The Pearl of Service

The world sits before us like a silent oyster. Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor calls for a sword to open it. Recovery suggests a much gentler approach. Step Twelve invites us into a space of selfless love. This affection demands nothing in return. Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions notes that this love lacks a price tag. It flows from a deep, spiritual source.

The Basic Text defines love as a vital flow of energy. We become part of others through care and prayer. Empathy breaks down the walls of isolation. Viktor Frankl argued that love is the highest human goal (Frankl, 1959). Our Higher Power works through these human bonds. Service transforms the “me” into a sacred “we.”

The Red Road to Wellbriety honors this connection. This text claims, “We are all related” (White Bison, 2002, p. 11). This kinship heals the wounds of addiction. The Great Mystery guides our hands in service. True wealth lives in what we give away. Kindness opens the world more effectively than any blade.

SI EL MUNDO FUERA TU OSTRA, ¿CÓMO FORZARÍAS SUS LABIOS CERRADOS? – PASO 12

I have some friends in AA that I make a point of checking in with, and I know they need support. I’ll see how they’re doing in their programs today

I’m finding it hard to commit to my responsibilities and my mend tends to dark places because of it. I could reach out to family, friends, and my therapist for help. I just sort of feel trapped in my own life and it feels like walking through mud to do much of anything.

I’m having a hard time with an art project I’m doing. It’ll definitely be easier if I get help, I am going to talk to my professor about it during her office hours on Tuesday.

My one kind thing today is doing my stress free zone. I’ve been missing in action going through extreme flashbacks, and am in lots of pain half of the time. I’ve missed though what the stress free zones, and art house has bestowed upon me. The AT center is great too, and has been a great source for my wanting to abstain from using.

Pray for others as I pray for myself. Not to expect or request, simply out of joy and praise for the friendship and out of pure appreciation and love.

Thank you for sharing recovery with me. Grateful.

I’m doing my best to be loving and forgiving by putting together a funeral program for a relative that was highly hurtful in my life.

I like that concept… just let your love flow, its a risk because i always want love to “flow’ back and it doesnt always do that. i need to go in with no expectations and it works much better that way.

I was watching the Bellamy Boys video and forgot how sweet it was as both brothers sang very earnestly with the younger one smiling and following his older brother’s lead. You could tell, they were really letting their “love flow.”

We can buy and sell treatment; we cannot buy or sell Recovery. For me, Recovery is about healing and reconnecting to my Higher Power and Friends in the Program (FIPs). I open the door to myself in very small increments – a little at a time. When I can let the Program in, the benefits are enormous. I sometimes only recognize the benefits in hindsight. In the moment, all I am aware of is that life is getting better. I am feeling better. This website connects me; and for that and all life’s blessings, I am grateful.
