Many times recently I have noticed that I have walked away or did not respond to many situations that in the past I would have stayed and argued or attacked someone who offended me or stepped on my toes so to speak. I am not sure why but each time it happened I had the immediate realization that it would be so much easier and less stress-filled if I just walked away from someone who offended me or said something that I did not agree with. So often in the past I had to be right or make sure you understood you were wrong before I could walk away from someone and now I realize I can walk away with or without stress and it all depends on how important I think it is for me to be right or to be happy. If I need to be right I will not walk away happy. I now realize that rarely is something so important that I need to put my serenity in jeopardy by arguing or responding.

I did something nice for a friend at work and he was very appreciative. I’ve been nice to people on the road lately, which is not something I do often.

About one month ago I had a serious “f___ it” moment when I realized I did not have to sit with some bitterness, resentment and self-righteousness. I was saying f___ it to my Higher Power and all thoughts of using my Program. Hindsight is 20-20 and I see now how much that one moment cost me. I am still working today to try to undo some of the damage I did as a result of an f___ it moment.

Forgiveness is an ongoing battle for me. Chiefly, I find it hard to forgive myself not just for actual transgressions, but for simple mistakes. It is really true, that as I struggle to forgive myself, it becomes easier to forgive others. Forgiveness is strictly a human issue to me. God doesn’t have to forgive, God understands. Peace.

I’m really digging the Mike Thompkins more and more. He’s just doing sooo much stuff in that video. Makes me feel might like maybe I got a few more talents that I haven’t explored yet. Very inspiring.

Forgiveness , releasing anger, letting go. not easy can’t say that I’m there yet. Anger not pausing and thinking before texting has cost me a dear friend. Very very painful. I hope one day we can forgive each other and move on. No guarantees though. Much sadness and grief to be worked through.

This is really helpful because sometimes I imagine I want to only go to meetings and only pray without doing anything else – guess not. Thanks SFZ.
