WE TRANSCEND BEYOND LIMITATIONS – “… each step has contributed to the extraordinary transformation which we know as a spiritual awakening.” “Though each individual’s experience … varies, some experiences are so common as to be almost universal. Humility is one of these common factors.” (It Works, How & Why, p. 82)

Analysis: The Flight of the Soul

The soul undergoes a profound metamorphosis. Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions describes this as a spiritual awakening. Each person experiences this change in a unique way. We finally tap into a hidden source of inner strength. This power previously remained dormant within our tired hearts. Growth requires us to abandon our old, narrow perspectives.

Consequently, humility becomes the bedrock of this new life. It Works, How & Why calls this experience nearly universal. We find our common humanity through shared struggles. The Creator guides us toward a deeper sense of belonging. Indigenous wisdom in The Red Road to Wellbriety echoes this call for communal healing. “We must return to the center of the circle” (White Bison, 2002, p. 24). This movement creates a bridge between the self and others.

Viktor Frankl emphasized the importance of finding meaning. He believed our “will to meaning” drives human survival (Frankl, 2006). Similarly, Sharon Salzberg focuses on the “why” behind our actions. Transformation happens when we align our intent with kindness. We fly from the cocoon of our former isolation. Our wings carry us toward a bright and purposeful future.

EL MAGNÍFICO MOMENTO EN QUE SOMOS ATRAPADOS EN PLENO VUELO DESDE EL CAPULLO – PASO 12

FORTALEZAS OCULTAS DESATADAS –

Through this extremely tough time I am experiencing, I am finding that I can now embark on a journey that is more congruent with who I am, as opposed to the expectations of others. The paradox is that based on my current state I should be very anxious, instead I feel a great sense of contentment. A quote that I heard some time ago has helped me to get through: “One must will the means in order the will the end.”

Good morning everyone + Happy St. Patrick’s Day. This is not a day that I will be toasting with alcohol. Today, I will enjoy + be of service to others. So, I offer you an Irish Blessing. May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warmly on your face. May the rain fall gently on your path. May you be in heaven 30 minutes before the devil knows you’ve passed + may God’s love hold you in the very hollow of His hand. Blessings. BB

I believe that I was humbling myself bye finishing the program for my family member’s funeral… Where not only was she not particularly gay friendly but her offspring were not either. Still I did it for my mom because it it mattered so much to her. and I made sure that some of the less charitable observation were not included.

I had lost the sense that I could be seen as someone one MIGHT spend the rest of their lives with and was pleasantly reminded on a recent date that indeed I am in the eyes of another.

We learn and grow and are
transformed not so much by what we
do but by why and how we do it. I like that quote, it reminds me to ask. whats my motivation with this person or situation, will i be kind and loving or….
