English Analysis

In A Course in Miracles, we see an urgent call to remember our divine source. Søren Kierkegaard warned about despair from forgetting the self. We see this in the line, “You do not know yourself, because you do not know your Creator.” Many people wander, asking Pilate’s ancient question: “What is truth?” Without having a sense of one’s origins, people drift.

The Basic Text echoes Martin Buber’s I and Thou. Buber argued that a true sense of the divine within transforms us. The addict’s fellowship embodies this. Love must be given, not hoarded. “Love and compassion are idle potentials until shared,” states the quote. Growth needs another to mirror the divine spark. Carl Jung, too, spoke of individuation. He claimed we need community to integrate shadow and light.

Og Mandino pushes this further. He calls us to rise beyond limits. “I am here for a purpose… to grow into a mountain.” His words echo Nietzsche’s call for self-overcoming in Thus Spoke Zarathustra. Mandino demands we reject the small self. He urges total effort, “strain my potential until it cries for mercy.” He recognizes the power of purpose, grit, and relentless ascent.

Today’s SFZ proclaims: We must know ourselves, share ourselves, and expand ourselves. Only then do we co-create reality. The mountain metaphor stands tall. Where truth, love, and growth shape a new landscape.

Each day, I start with prayer and ask my HP to take the wheel. Since I have made this shift, day after day, my mountain grows. Often, in recovery, there is a “I want it all” attitude, I know that I have dealt with this. Yet, when I let go and step back to look at my progress, the mountain is growing and impressively so.

I believe my higher power created me and I walk alongside him praising him with gratefulness and trying to do my best in what what pleases him… smiling, opening a door, or a simple kind word to someone can bring a mountain of joy into someone’s life at that moment..

Co-creation is a management initiative, or form of economic strategy, that brings different parties together (for instance, a company and a group of customers), in order to jointly produce a mutually valued outcome.
God is on my side, He is willing beyond my comprehension and is eager to give and also to take, my Higher Power gives me an attitude of perseverance and motivates me to bring positive perspective in any situation. My reality is that as long as I stay clean and i’m “willing”(keyword) to do the work(which is simple) then my chances are higher for success. A gift in recovery is that I am willing to take a step back and remember where my false sense of reality took me and where my HP has now brought me.

I starting to get use to not being in control. I different letting the universe set itself but I feel better this way.

🤔……..Fear as a passing thought, not a conditioned response, love as a reflect not as a planned event, and action as a primary response to life!
    This is the mountain

I do not disagree with the above quote but I find that with so many spiritual axioms they make perfect sense on paper but their practical application often eludes me.
