Analysis: The Discovery of the Divine Will

Edison viewed failure as a vital tool for discovery. He discovered thousands of paths that lead nowhere. Step 11 asks us to seek the will of a Higher Power. We often pray for specific results and ignore the process.

The Big Book emphasizes progress rather than perfection. Man’s Search for Meaning reveals how meaning grows from suffering (Frankl, 1946). Every failed attempt clarifies the correct path forward. Wellbriety wisdom reminds us to embrace every lesson. “We must learn from the mistakes of the past” (White Bison, 2002, p. 24).

Prayer aligns our hearts with a Great Mystery. Success often arrives after many quiet, difficult trials. This shift in perspective transforms our spiritual journey. Each “no” from the universe serves a divine purpose.

UN DETALLE PEQUEÑO PERO PODEROSO, MEJOR NO OLVIDARLO, EN TODAS NUESTRAS ORACIONES – PASO 11

“¡Resultados! ¡Vaya, hombre, he obtenido muchos resultados!

Thomas A. Edison (1847 – 1931), inventor estadounidense

    In A.A
staying out of the results means, not stressing over the outcome or the success or relapse of the work…
The other saying is, trust the process.
I was always taught to do the footwork and leave the rest up to God….

My greatest teacher continues to be awareness of mistakes and learning how not to repeat them. Also, asking what lesson is to be learned and to express gratitude for the lesson. I am reminded of the Ho’Oponopono prayer:
    I am sorry
    Forgive me
    Thank you
    I love you.

Thank you for sharing recovery with me. Grateful.

I think the more my intention is to full God’s will, the safer I feel when do what feels like the right thing to do. Cuz there really is no way for me to know for sure.

I gotta few choice character defects that stand in the way of my HP’s will for me. Grandiosity, anger and procrastination to name a few.

I gotta few other choice character defects that get in the way of my H.P.’s will for me. Grandiosity, anger and sloth to name a few.

God’s will is the best thing for me – however, my character defect of pride prevents letting go, as best I can tell.
