Question ::: How is the process of discovering your own H.P. or “unsuspected inner resource” changing your lives?
Featured Comment by Adam ::: “Things just seem to flow. Less stress. Things like meeting up with long lost friends, approved for home loan, and even work is going well.”
IT CAN BE “AN UNSUSPECTED INNER RESOURCE” –
“He finally real-
izes that he has un-
dergone a profound
alteration in his reaction
to life;” “With few excep-
tions our members find that
they have tapped an un-
suspected inner resource
which they presently i-
dentify with their own
conception of a Power
greater than them-
selves.” (The Big
Book, p, 569
– 570)
“Human beings,
by changing the
inner attitudes of
their minds, can
change the out-
er aspects of
their lives.”
– William James (1842 – 1910) U.S. psychologist & 12-step progenitor

Changing Everything
by Jane Hirshfield
I was walking again
in the woods,
a yellow light
was sifting all I saw.
Willfully,
with a cold heart,
I took a stick,
lifted it to the opposite side
of the path.
There, I said to myself,
that’s done now.
Brushing one hand against the other,
to clean them
of the tiny fragments of bark.
Good morning everyone + happy Friday. Here is today’s thought. When we become sober people, we experience a new life, a new hope, + a new freedom.
This weekend marks the beginning of Gay Pride in West Hollywood. It’s a time to be proud of the people we are. It is a time to celebrate a wonderful life given to us by our Creator. It is not a time for drunken revelry.
So, let’s be sober. Let’s be proud. Let’s be in love + give love. Happy Gay Pride to all. Blessings. BB
