What prejudices do you hold or had held about a power greater than oneself, i.e., an HP?
“My prejudices of my higher power are anything Christian-based and are inextricably linked to modern Christian thinking. I do not agree with much of it. So this makes it extremely difficult to navigate terminology such as faith, God, and prayer. But I have to define what these mean for me and often use different terms that do not have the same connotations for me.” – Adam
Prejudice by Mr. Review (a rockin ska band) (3:54)
Henry Thoreau on God in Nature (13:03)
Proving the Consciousness of Water Meditation (3:16)
Sea Fever
by John Masefield
I must down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;
[A]nd the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea’s face, and a grey dawn breaking.
I must down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.
I must down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull’s way and the whale’s way where the wind’s like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.
Good morning everyone + Happy Sunday. Going to church today then taking it easy. I’m feeling a little ill today. So, here is today’s thought. Get busy when you are called to + rest when you need to. Blessings. BB

Some times I have to remind myself that my higher power is not trying to punish me when things go wrong. In my heart, I really do feel my HP loves me and would never cause me harm.
I want to say “Happy Birthday” to my beloved son. He and my daughter have taught me more about love than I ever knew existed. Kind of like the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi, it is in loving that we are loved. Happy birthday, son. Please know that you are loved beyond measure.
