Analysis: The Path Through Opposites

Humility anchors our wandering souls. 12 & 12 emphasizes this vital grace. Without it, sobriety inevitably crumbles. Adversity tests our fragile faith. Yet, true humility meets any emergency.

Søren Kierkegaard understood this paradox completely. Human desires demand opposite transitions. It Works: How & Why explains our shared flaws. Imperfection grounds our wandering feet. Meanwhile, a Higher Power directs every spiritual step. Wellbriety teachings reinforce this transformation. “True humility opens the heart to healing” (White Bison, 2002, p. 54). Grace replaces our deep character defects. We finally emerge victorious.

(It Works, How & Why, p. 48)

It Works: How & Why explica nuestros defectos compartidos. Finalmente surgimos victoriosos.

Mistakes are the great teachers and I ask my higher power to learn from them and not repeat them.

Letting my skills work for themselves before mentioning any qualifications has allowed me into positions that are otherwise difficult to attain. Trying to manage others expectations is tiring and futile. Managing my own work, however, is fulfilling. Staying quiet about my training and focusing on showing what I’m capable of in the studio makes me feel more confident in myself anyway, and raises my esteem generally anyway. It also lets my bosses know that I’m open to learning more, not bothered by criticism.

My humility has enabled me to achieve some small successes by allowin’ me(moi) to stay humble and embark on a very rigorous enlightened path. Bein’ humble allows me to understand the larger economic picture around me to exhibit compassion, and care as Buddha has taught me for instance. Achievements are all around me where I see others’ failures in considerations of others, for instance in havin’ a Non-Profit that I want to be a part of with other peers to grow, learn, and respect one another.

I think that admitting you don’t know something is the best way to learn, and this has really helped me in school. Also admitting when I’ve bitten off more than I can chew and asking for help and advice and sincerely taking it has been a huge boon for me.

Today’s question, for me, fits perfectly within the framework from yesterday. The longer I remain sober and clean, the better I am at catching bad behavior or downward spirals, before they progress. This allows me to catch myself before I wreck myself. Humility for me requires trusting in the process and the divine timing of my healing. It also guides me into acceptance that everything is as it is supposed to be. Even, and especially even, when I might wish for things to go at a different pace or in a different direction.

When I am mindful, and present, the flow, flows. All of the work leads to this moment, and this moment is every moment. One day at a time, progress not perfection, catching and changing stinking thinking. All these sayings and cliches are rooted in the experience of those who have come before me. I stand on the backs of Giants and I am grateful to learn and grow from the wisdom that they have experienced, realizing its usefulness, value and universal truths that each person can apply and benefit from.

Thank you, for sharing recovery with me. Grateful.

Yes, confusion at times reminds me of stinkin’ thinkin, and I like to stay away from that. The divine timin’ of my healin’ is of importance, because it shows me what, and where I can get to in the process of positive growths.
