In what ways have you “given it away”, lately?

I just tell people that I stopped drinking, and if it is someone that I think may have a drinking problem, I will tell them I’m in AA and working the program. Then at least they know someone if they decide they want to pursue it. I offer rides when I can and talk to people after meetings when I can tell they need it. I’ve reached out to people when they seem uncomfortable at a meeting. I feel like I notice people that others don’t so maybe I’m blessed that way.

I primarily give it away by giving guys rides to meetings and taking residents from a treatment center out in the community on weekend passes. I live at a sober living accross the street from the center where I got clean. Since I have a car and a lot of guys don’t I am able to be of service almost every day by giving guys rides to meetings. The other day I also spoke on a panel. I try and never turn down a request to be of service in the program unless I already have a previous engagement or if I am physically unable to do the request because of the limitations with my back. I also have two service commitments at my home group on Tuesday nights.
