Analysis: The Action of Faith

Faith requires more than simple belief. Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions challenges us to act. Mere thoughts cannot mend a broken life. We must invite a Higher Power inside. This choice transforms our daily internal landscape. True surrender requires active, constant movement.

It Works: How and Why defines this step as action. We consciously turn our will over today. This decision demands total willingness. We let the Great Mystery guide our steps. Plutarch noted that inner states shape our world. Our outward reality reflects these deep changes.

Wellbriety teachings support this path of surrender. “We walk the Red Road with clear hearts” (White Bison, 2002, p. 41). Mahatma Gandhi also emphasized this truth (Gandhi, 1927). He lived his beliefs through daily service. Deeds speak louder than silent prayers. We integrate these values into our habits. Small shifts lead to profound peace. Connection grows as we let go.

POR QUÉ LA FE SOLA ES INÚTIL Y QUÉ HACE QUE LA VIDA VALGA LA PENA – COMIENZA EL PASO 3

PASO TRES –

I continue to work on not stressing about the things that are out of my control, and let my Higher Power handle the things that are currently out of my vision.

I used to think that step three was making one big decision and then I’m done once and for all. But a Lifetime of relying my own willpower cannot be fixed in one day… it’s an active ongoing commitment to do the next intended thing…

Sometimes when something is tryna hold me back from a decision I probably don’t want to ultimately make anyways, I think this is how my HP, O Great Spirit, or assistance in creating me keeps me safe. There’s so much going on these days out in the streets, and inside places, that we need someone, or something like an HP to keep us protected against all the evils/bad in the world. Meetings have been blessings, as long as I am there for me mainly, others whom are serious, and all the right reasons.

This year has been a time of growth and faith, taking time daily to spend time in prayer and to listen when my higher power speaks.

Thank you for sharing recovery with me. Grateful.

I’ve let O Great Spirit – I will use as HP right now, in my life by prayer, and meditation – that has made me stronger, and given me so much strength to keep on striving towards what I want to accomplish in my life for the betterment of me.

I try to do affirmations frequently that start with a prayer to open myself up to a connection. And then try to uplift myself through that

I do believe that faith without works is dead. The true test of faith is how it’s manifested in actions and deeds. Simply believing in God’s existence is not enough. There’s another book that’s pretty rad and it states somewhere in the book of James that, even the demons believe……and Shudder……!

For hope and faith to come into their full power, it takes Action. Action is the magic that makes things move. I can have faith and hope that somehow writing here will get done, yet with out the action of doing, these words are just pixels unorganized. It is by our action that we open to our HP to be active in our life. The action itself invites a response of action.

This weekend I have 3 days off. When I’m relaxed as I am now I’m more generous and forgiving. I feel more compassion when my head isn’t full of thoughts about what I need to be doing.
