Why Ours is the Most Progressive Movement Ever Conceived – Step 1

“In a country that was built on a protest.” “You say to protest is wrong because you spoke out of turn. Because you spoke up for people that were marginalized.” “You spoke up for people that we don’t want to care about. In a country built on people who speak out of turn, who spoke out of turn, who thought out of turn, to build a nation. I come from a long line of people who have resisted.”

– Rep. Justin J. Pearson on protest desire (1994 – ). Expelled from the Tennessee State House on 4/6/2023. The first since the Civil War.

Analysis: The Open Door of Belonging

Recovery opens its doors to every soul. The Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions emphasizes the heart’s desire. No external force measures this internal flame. Membership remains a deeply personal choice. We simply decide to belong. This radical openness transforms lives.

Robert Kiyosaki links success to the strength of one’s dream. Disappointment serves as a stepping stone, not a wall. Viktor Frankl believed meaning sustains us through suffering (Frankl, 1959). He saw that inner freedom remains even in dark times. The Red Road to Wellbriety mirrors this inclusive spirit. White Bison (2002) states the door stays open for everyone (p. 24). The Great Mystery welcomes every seeking heart without judgment.

We handle setbacks with newfound grace. The Higher Power provides a path for all seekers. This movement values the human spirit above all labels. Progress happens through small, steady steps. Our community thrives because no one faces exclusion. Honesty and hope lead the way forward.

Y SIEMPRE PUEDES “SEGUIR VINIENDO”

Robert Kiyosaki (1947 – ), conferencista motivacional japonés-estadounidense

I would like to change my fear of failure in trying new things. How will I ever know if it’s something that I might be good at, if I never try?

I need need need to change my negative self talk. I’m very insecure about my body, my intelligence, how my voice sounds, etc. it prevents me from really connecting with people I feel. But it’s hard to just wake up and be ok with myself. I need to practice more self love and patience and acceptance.

I definitely practice what I believe in… I’m in it for the Long Haul and I walk the talk in this beautiful journey of sobriety…

Worry less and pray more. The serenity prayer is a great foundation to that goal, as is the morning journaling that is a part of my daily life. These rituals in addition to meetings, mindfulness and talking with friends makes each day better.

Thank you for sharing recovery with me. Grateful.

Overcoming one mistake at a time. This is a program of rigorous honesty. That honesty starts with self. Am I honest to myself? In my active addiction, heck no. Today? One step at a time I am regaining my ability to honestly self evaluate each action, each word and know its truth, and if needed, catch and correct lies. Progress, and overcoming my tendency to seek a false perfection.

I measure my desire and commitment to do anything by the actions I take. in recovery make sure that I always have a commitment to a meeting at least one and and I do my best to to be of service by being open minded and willing to hear and follow the group conscience.

Good morning everyone + Happy Sunday. Here is today’s thought. Remain strong even in the tempest. All we have to do is to have a desire, a real desire to stay sober. Offer yourself to God. Be helpful to all others. If we can do these simple tasks, we will conquer. We will live. We will be free. Blessings. BB

When the alcoholic with whom I had a relationship left, I was afraid I no longer qualified for Al-Anon. As time went on and my life kept getting better and better I felt I no longer needed Al-Anon. Two short weeks later I found myself engaging in old behavior. Al-Anon has helped me see I do not need to live with an alcoholic to “qualify.” If one alcoholic leaves, I will go find another; I will interfere needlessly in the lives and affairs of others; I will seek out situations to control. I go to Al-Anon meetings because I qualify myself.
