Analysis: Service and Authority

Memorial Day honors those who gave everything. We reflect on true sacrifice today. Service defines the spirit of leadership. John Quincy Adams believed leaders inspire others to grow. True authority flows from a Higher Power. No human structure governs our inner path.

Traditions protect our collective mission. The Big Book poses questions about true direction. We find answers in humble service. Overeaters Anonymous emphasizes this spiritual autonomy. Our actions must mirror this quiet grace. We serve others without seeking power.

Wellbriety teachings clarify this vital balance. “Leadership is an act of service to the Creator” (White Bison, 2002, p. 89). Martin Luther King Jr. echoed this noble ideal (King, 1968). He championed the transformative power of selfless love. Leaders empower rather than command. We follow this path with open hearts. Today, we remember those who paved the way. Their legacy lives through our intentional choices.

TÓMATE UN MOMENTO PARA: EL DÍA DE LOS CAÍDOS (MEMORIAL DAY) MIENTRAS HONRAMOS A AQUELLOS QUE PAGARON EL SACRIFICIO SUPREMO – PASO 2

¿QUIÉN ES EL JEFE? –

I believe that in this Cosmic tapestry Jesus is not just the historical figure, but the ultimate anchor drawing all of creation together and giving every part of our existence Divine meaning…

I do feel safe in this Cosmic universe rushing somewhere with a purpose, with a beautiful purpose my higher power is the creator of Heaven time and space. But it is up to me to keep the armor of sobriety on to be protected from all the flying debris Within this Cosmic universe.

For me it gives awareness that I am not alone, that there is something before me and after me, I am a part of an infinity. Knowing that I have a higher power is also a great releif that I do not have to carry the weight of the world, truly I can let go, and let God.

Good morning everyone + happy Monday. Here is today’s thought. Have an attitude of gratitude. Be thankful for all you have. It is good for your spiritual, mental, + even your physical self. In her book, “Simple Abundance”, Susan Ban Breathnach writes: “You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life.” So, praise + be thankful to God for all His blessings + spread the gratitude around. Thankyou + Blessings. BB

For me, my higher power is our collective consciousness and the laws of nature that govern the universe. My HP isn’t a separate conscious entity that governs the universe like a supreme leader. My HP doesn’t intentionally take any action on behalf of anything or anyone. I am either on the path nature intended or I’m not. When I am, the path unfolds in front of me. My difficulty is that the purpose of my life may not be meant to unfold in my lifetime, but for someone else in the future that I’ve influenced. For example, MLK was descended from slaves. They suffered deeply so that MLK could change the world. It could be intended that I suffer my entire life so that someone else may live. Quite depressing but that is what I believe.

When I experience gong videos like the one above or in person, the “rushing, roaring sound of the universe” is transportive. I’ve been taken on amazing journeys during such gong sessions. Yogi Brent is especially adept creating a crescendo and then letting it subside.

Hearing about the rushing, roaring, cosmic universe makes me feel tired – like I have to rush to keep up with the universe; I have to roar to be heard in the universe. Wow! Where did those thoughts come from? I neither have to rush nor roar. In silence, I sit; in silence I reflect; in silence I move the lies from my mind. The lies are that I am not fast enough, not loud enough to be heard. The lie is that I am too small, too quiet to be heard or seen in the universe. My Higher Power is always aware of me. I exist, I matter, I have a role in the universe.
