Our Deepest Fear (our Light) – Marianne Williamson (4:41)

Overcoming Fear & Anxiety Guided Mindfulness Meditation(15:06)

Analysis: Facing the Light

Fear often clouds our path to recovery. It Works: How and Why explains this natural hesitation. We stand ready to confess our deepest wrongs. This honesty requires immense courage. A Higher Power grants strength during these moments. We confront our hidden past with open hearts.

Many people try to bypass this crucial step. Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions notes our intense reluctance. Shame whispers lies into our willing ears. Marianne Williamson reminds us of a deeper truth. We fear our own boundless power and radiant light. Embracing this brilliance challenges our old, safe habits.

Thich Nhat Hanh taught the art of mindful presence (Hanh, 1999). He believed radical truth brings ultimate liberation. Wellbriety teachings echo this journey toward inner healing. “We find true freedom by bringing our secrets into the light” (White Bison, 2002, p. 134). Stepping out of the shadows transforms our spirit. Courage replaces the heavy chains of yesterday.

“NUESTRO MIEDO MÁS PROFUNDO ES… NUESTRA LUZ, NO NUESTRA OSCURIDAD” – PASO 5

Doce Pasos y Doce Tradiciones señala nuestra intensa renuencia.

Sometimes when things seem to start to get unbearable, even though I don’t want people to necessarily hear what I’m hidin’, especially in my recovery, or where I’m at, it does assist me, and make me(moi) feel better when I can let someone hear where I am in gettin’ better. Or even just closer to the prize I so long for.

My light is warm and when it is shining brightly it radiates outward and invites others to shine brighter.

I cannot generate that light myself… I believe that God’s light inside me can reflect outwards through acts of love, compassion and kindness…

As I move from Darkness into light I see my life fill with new purpose and meaning…
For me darkness is the adversary and the light is God

My light is always blossoming into something wiser as I experience life and experiences. The light around me is true, and full of care for me and others I can care about. If I stopped being afraid of how amazing I could be I wouldn’t have hopes or know I can accomplish what I want to accomplish, and have the positive growths that I’m looking for also.

My light is bright and there for all to see. There are times, when using or sick, when that is deminished. Yet when I am healthy, mind, body and spirit, my light is a beacon that others see. I shine with divinity as we all do. Let us let our light shine so that we can see in dark places and others see a path forward too.

Thank you for sharing recovery with me. Grateful.

My deepest fear is that my actions will not be viewed as the genuine acts of kindness as they are. I have a deep need for acceptance.

I would say my light is everything opposite of fear. I’m come to find that for me, fear is an illusion and it’s really hesitation that manifest in my life. So I have been using a tool counting back from 5 to 1 in situations where it seems as though I’m afraid or being worrisome. I then take next logical step, reach out to my support group or sponsor and learn the gifts in each situation. I find that when I focus on me in each situation I find so much love and light at the end of each day. Jacqueline Habhab
