Attachment injury may show up as a hesitation to trust people or a process, as a reluctance to be part of a recovery group or sangha, or as a core belief that we don’t belong. (Recovery Dharma, p.11)

Analysis: The Architecture of Belief

Fear often isolates the struggling soul. It Works: How and Why promises a new strength. We find this power through a growing trust. This bond helps us face life’s storms. Consequently, we no longer walk this path alone. The Red Road to Wellbriety teaches that “healing is a journey toward wholeness” (White Bison, 2002, p. 14).

Old wounds sometimes block our path to the community. Recovery Dharma notes how attachment injuries create deep hesitation. We might feel like we do not belong. However, Sharon Salzberg encourages a different view of effort. She suggests we plant seeds of compassion without worry. Viktor Frankl also believed meaning comes from something outside ourselves (Frankl, 1959). Truly, we must trust an unfolding we cannot control. Abandoning false pride allows this sacred process to begin. Our Great Spirit guides the silent growth of these seeds.

There is good support in my home group. There’s evidence to support their sobriety and Recovery that gives me hope… there’s also the group that I live with that helps me in my recovery, good people who want to stay sober and recover one day at a time which absolutely builds my faith and trust in the group, the program and of course my higher power.

I put a lot of trust that when I talk to my sponsor and my therapist, I am in good hands. My Sponsor has only ever seen me sober, while my therapist has seen me at my absolute worst. She has seen me act out in fear, and has guided me through it for these past nearly 8 years that we have been working together.

When there is fear, I talk to God. There are others that I can share with, as I was reminded yesterday that God works through people. By asking, reaching out and being vulnerable, the courage is discovered to be fearless.

Thank you for sharing recovery with me. Grateful

For me “Elexi” trust and faith – I’ll say hopes, makes me continually strive to get more and more better. I’ve also seen so many improvements in my life already, and have trust in me, also hopes that more will come as well.

I find that trust is a critical component of faith and that they work together. I have faith that I can trust the process. The process is almost always an unexpected result. Its hard to see, perhaps impossible to see, yet I trust that when I leap, the bridge will appear.

Good morning everyone + Happy Friday. Another hot day. Please keep in prayer the victims of the big fire in Ventura County. Here is today’s thought. For today, take it easy. Relax, try not to worry, try to be helpful to others, + trust God. Blessings. BB
